Machine Learning, Optimization, and AI Agents · Tenure-track Assistant Professor at SUFE
I am currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) in the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to that, I obtained my Ph.D. at MLO, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), advised by Prof. Martin Jaggi. I received my Master of Science degree from EPFL and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
Current research interests
My research focuses on the theoretical foundations of reliable, safe, and efficient foundation models and AI agents.
- Provable reliability and safety: developing theoretically grounded methods for uncertainty quantification, robustness, and alignment in foundation models and agentic systems.
- Learning and inference efficiency: designing methods that train, adapt, and reason faster with less data and computation.
